Mr. O'Brien defends and prosecutes tort, malpractice, employment and bad faith actions and specializes in trial work. He has practiced law for the last 22 years and has successfully defended more than 70 jury trials. He is one of the first New Mexico lawyers to be recognized as a civil trial specialist. He served as President of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association in 1999. He was given the "Quality of Life - Legal Employer Award" by the State Bar of New Mexico in June 2001. He was the President of the State Bar of New Mexico in 2004.
